Frequently asked questions

How does the price scanner work?

Point your camera at a price tag: Juvo reads the price right on your phone and instantly shows it in your currency. Live mode converts every price in the frame, while Snapshot mode lets you freeze the frame and pick the price you need. You can also scan photos from your library.

Does Juvo work offline?

Yes. The latest downloaded rates and any custom rates you set are stored on your phone and work offline. The app shows when the rates were last updated.

How does the app know which country I’m in?

From your phone’s time zone. If you allow it, Juvo can confirm the country using your approximate location, only while the app is open. The country is detected on your device and never sent anywhere. If the currency switches when you didn’t want it to, tap Undo.

How many currencies does Juvo support?

More than 100. Find the one you need by its code, like EUR or THB. You can also set a custom rate, for example the one at your exchange booth.

How much does Juvo cost?

Juvo is free to download, and you can try the converter, scanner and tip calculator without paying. For unlimited use there are two plans: Vacation Pass, a weekly subscription for the length of your trip that you can cancel anytime, and Lifetime, a one-time purchase with no renewals. The App Store shows the price in your currency.

Do I need to sign up?

No. No account, no email: just open the app and go. There are no ads either.

Which devices does Juvo work on?

iPhone with iOS 26 or later. You can add a rates widget to your Home Screen and a Scan Price button to Control Center.
